Save The Drama For Yo' Mama. Or At Least Take It Offline

Look, let's just cut right to the chase.

Lately, on the Twitter-webz, there has been, shall we say, a bit of drama circulating within the BBW porn performer circle.

Actually, the drama seems to be radiating from one source in particular. Now, to be fair, I don't quite know what this one woman's issue is, as she apparently is tweeting things and then pulling them down after they get a response.

Funnily enough, this same individual screenshots phone messages and tweets directed at her (allegedly) so that she can have evidence in case she is wronged (I guess) and can let the whole world know exactly what YOU did to wrong her.

Or something along those lines.

Look, I'm not trying to be a white knight, as I happen to know and am friendly with a few of the individuals who received some of this individual's wrath over the last few days. Am I best friends? No. Have I slept with any of the people involved? Hell, no. Have I performed with any of the people involved? (Laughing hysterically.)

(Wiping tears from eyes.)

No. No, I haven't.

So, let me reiterate: I am not being a white knight. I am not taking sides in this debate. I do think that the individual who seems to have issues with everyone might want to take a good, long look in the mirror. Because the ugliness that you are radiating isn't because other people are the problem. I think that you, madam, are the actual epicenter of the negativity and irrational behavior.

Beef with one person is expected; it is naive and difficult to think that everyone within a given industry/given community is going to like each other. It doesn't happen because there are enough individual differences among a sufficiently large enough group of people to cause friction between any two individuals.

With that being said, though:

* When there is a line out the door of people who feel the need to call you names in retaliation for some things that you've said

* When you feel that you have to document the actions of everyone around you to the point where you are screenshotting conversations and not deleting messages for "business purposes" yet you delete things that YOU'VE written

I think the problem lies with you. Most of the weight is on the other side of the balance scale, and the scale is not tipping in your favor.

Again, that is just my outside opinion. I do understand that I do not have all of the facts, so that may be contributing to my confusion. Of course, in most cases, we know that there are three sides to any story, with the truth being somewhere in between the recollections of the two primary parties involved.

I do, however, want to make a larger point to all of the models/camgirls/performers out there, and this is to point something out as a fan.

It's...disheartening, to say the very least, to see so much shit fly back and forth.

Again, I am not so naive to think that these back and forths break down any mythologized ideal/fantasy about you.

But it comes across as immature at best, to be frank, to have so much dirty laundry out there. I really do wish that a lot of this shit went backchannel; utilize some other method of communicating your issues with each other.

I just don't think that a complete airing of all of the shit that goes on needs to happen on social networks/social media. It makes all involved look small, petty and immature. It's like revisiting junior high school or lower with the level of name calling that takes place.

Twitter is something of an instant release. You type it out in 140 characters or so (maybe longer if you use Twitlonger or just break it up into multiple tweets) and you get to vent. It's akin to punching a locker or a wall. Sometimes, you just want to hit something.

I get it, I do.

But does hitting that wall actually accomplish anything? Isn't there a greater risk involved of you injuring yourself than there is of injuring the sheetrock or the piece of metal?

Maybe I'm in the minority here; maybe it's how I was raised or trained in conflict mediation when I worked in my previous field. But I've always been told/believed that it was better to either air out differences directly, without using intermediaries unless absolutely forced to.

I also believe that, well, trolls enjoy being fed. And internet trolls feed off of attention—whether that is positive attention or negative attention. All that matters to the internet troll is the attention comes towards them.

Which is another reason, I say, to keep these kinds of arguments off of social media, especially if you are in the right. It's most likely going to get swallowed up by the noise.

I live by this saying from Macbeth, Act 5, Scene 5:

MACBETH
...And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

Featured Scene: Betty Blac on First Time Fatties

I get the concept of strip poker. I can totally comprehend that, although it is not a game that I have had first hand experience with. The only thing that can come close are those sexy dice games that you can buy at like, Spencers or some other adult novelty store. I had a pair...and I, um, actually never used them either.

Anyway, in this scene, the lovely Betty Blac (a friend of the blog—you can read more about her here) is playing backgammon with Lucas and drinking some wine before, well, things get heated between them in a good way. And really, who can blame Lucas, because if Betty showed up wearing that dress, I wouldn't want to play board games that long, either.

(By the way, Lucas was in the featured scene with Julia Sands a couple of weeks ago. Lucky bastard.)

Even though this scene is on First Time Fatties, this is not Betty's first scene on the Plumper Pass network. So sign up and check out her other scenes with them. It is well worth the money.

The BBW Pornucopia Interview: Eliza Allure

She was the featured scene post last week here on BBW Pornucopia, and now I am happy to present her interview this week. I spent some time talking to her this weekend at a birthday event at a club in Las Vegas, and she is, as someone else dubbed her that night, "A firecracker." Or maybe it was, "A spitfire." Either term is applicable in my opinion.

I've already waxed poetic about her look before, so let me just repeat something I wrote on Twitter a couple of weeks ago:

Without further ado, meet Eliza Allure.

Eliza Allure

Follow her on Twitter: @elizaallure

How did you get into the business? What led you into doing this, and what was your entry point (print modeling, straight into video, web modeling)?

I’ve always been very confident about myself regardless of my size, but I never considered modeling. My past career experience was mostly working as a call center agent. I was sick of working long weeks to maintain a mundane life. I began taking pictures of myself and tweeting them. I started gaining followers, and some very sweet and proactive fans sent my pictures to Sensational Modeling. After getting an email from them I thought it was fake so discarded it lol. But still the thought that I might be able to be an adult model stuck with me. So I began researching bbw models and the companies they shoot for.

After seeing some of the models and what men enjoyed about them I felt confident I could succeed in the industry. I contacted Sensational Modeling and just my luck they were still interested in me J So a few weeks later they flew me to Miami to shoot for their site plumperpass.com.

After that I started my southern-charms and clipsforsale sites, as well as webcaming on justbbwcam.com.

Then Hardten Entertainment a great webmastering company took notice of me. J My official site is in the works now.

Was it a difficult decision, deciding the enter the industry? Do you have any regrets about choosing this path?

Absolutely not. I didn’t get into the industry like a lot of girls do for the quick paycheck. I plan on having a long iconic and hopefully inspirational career.

If you could change one thing about the industry (either overall, or specifically with regards to the BBW side of things), what would it be?

I wish more women would be empowered by the industry rather than just letting themselves be taken advantage of. Yes it takes more work and effort than just showing up for scenes, but the payoff of doing your own content will last years. You have to be a business minded person in order to succeed.

What is your definition of a fan? What obligations do fans have in supporting performers/the industry overall?

This is a very touchy subject. Fans think girls get rich off their porn like they did 10-15 years ago. Its just not that way anymore. Most girls are able to pay their bills and have a comfy life, but we still need fans to help us out and donate or send us stuff from our wishlists :P.

There are fans who understand this and definitely feel a responsibility to support the girls they watch, but then there are “fans” who want everything for free. Sometimes I feel like these guys don’t realize we are real people with real lives. We were not manufactured for their pleasure.

My favorite fans retweet and promote me as much as possible even if that’s all they can do. They do their part in advancing my career. I love to thank these fans with free photo sets, video clips and fan signs.

If you could offer some words of advice to those trying to break into the industry, what would they be?

I guess I kind of answered this already, but be intelligent. Don’t be blinded by the first check waved in front of you. And don’t give everything away the first shoot you get. Make sure they have a reason to call you back for another shoot.

Make sure you make a good impression, by not being a diva. That doesn’t mean if you are uncomfortable with something you shouldn’t stand up for yourself. Just watch for the line and don’t cross it. There needs to be a mutual respect for producers and pornstars. It’s very easy to get a bad name in the industry. Ive seen it before and you don’t want to be blacklisted because you were having a bad day and snapped at the wrong people.

Also, The best advice I can give you is never, ever, ever gossip about other industry people. Its tacky and makes you look like you are in high school. Everyone in the industry talks to each other and if you don’t think anything you said will get back to them… it will.

Interpret this question how you want, but what excites you? What makes you feel good inside?

I love women! Thick women, thin women any lady with a gorgeous face makes me crazy. I find the female form the most arousing thing in the world. In fact, I only watch lesbian porn ;P

I really love when a guy knows how to kiss. It’s so rare even in the industry to have compatibly lol, but the best kissers can make me wet so fast!

What are your hobbies outside of work? How do you like to unwind?

I like to relax with video games. I was obessed with WoW (World of Warcraft) for years. I finally had to cut myself off when I was playing 16 hours a day and neglecting everything else lol. So, now I stick to games I can pry myself away from. I enjoy Diablo 3 and skyrim the most. I prefer mages or wizards. I like kicking ass from far away. Let the big tank get hit lol J

Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? Still performing? Serving as a producer/director? Being an agent? Advocacy? Or outside of the industry?

Hopefully by then I will have established a name for myself. I am young enough now that I plan on having a 15 year career easily.

How would you like to be remembered?

Hopefully as the caring person I am. I truly want the best for every girl in the industry. There are no petty jealousies being harbored in my heart.
