Coming Soon: Evil Angel's BBW Gold #2



In October I was excited to hear that Evil Angel Video was entering the BBW market with BBW Gold, directed by Joey Silvera.

Here we are, less than six months later, and already we have BBW Gold #2...and this time, it is subtitled "Special Anal Edition."

Anal sex is something that is not prominently featured on most BBW sites or in videos. I've never been sure why that is, but it looks like Joey found a way to make sure that it was a central theme in this edition.

Featuring Klaudia Kelly, Buxom Bella, Eliza Allure, Kelly Shibari, Star Staxx, Christian XXX and Sean Michaels, it hits the streets on February 6.

I still haven't had the funds to purchase BBW Gold #1, but I might have to set aside some of my tax refund and make one weekend a double feature.

Featured Scene: Julia Sands on BBWs Gone Black

In 1986, Irish-British musician Chris de Burgh wrote the song "The Lady in Red," which was inspired, in part, by how sometimes guys cannot recall what their wives are wearing when they first meet them.

The BBW Pornucopia Interview: Daphne Daniels

We are featuring the one, the only Daphne Daniels as the BBW Pornucopia Interview. I am ashamed to admit it, but I did not get to chat much with Daphne one-on-one at BBW FanFest. It was totally my fault, and I sincerely apologize. But despite that legendary faux pas by moi, Daphne was kind enough to take my interview request and answer the questions I've been dying to get responses to.

How did you get into the business? What led you into doing this, and what was your entry point (print modeling, straight into video, web modeling)?

I came straight into video as my start in the industry. In the past a few people approached me with the notion of doing adult modeling I always said no. Then in the summer of 2007 I got approached again and this time it made me really entertain the thought of doing adult modeling for some extra money. So, I answered an online ad, met up with the director that same day and the following week I performed in my first xxx scene.

Was it a difficult decision, deciding to enter the industry? Do you have any regrets about choosing this path? 

It wasn’t, no. It was pretty easy once I made my mind up that this was something I was going to do. I’m a sexual person, I mean I wouldn’t be doing anything that I haven’t already done so it was fairly easy. Regrets? No. But I will say that some of my personal relationships had become strained because of my decisions. Comes with the territory.

If you could change one thing about the industry (either overall, or specifically with regards to the BBW side of things) what would it be? 

Unfortunately, the industry is very biased against dark skinned African American women. It’s harder for us to get the same amount of work or shine as our counterparts even on the BBW side of things. I also noticed that the BBW side of the industry can be biased on size. You’re either too big, or not big enough. It’s ridiculous.

What is your definition of a fan? What obligations do fans have in supporting performers/the industry overall?

There can be different variations on the definition of a fan, the main one would just be anyone that enjoys and appreciates what we do in adult entertainment. Tube/pirate sites are taking a heavy toll on the industry. Fans have to understand that without their support and purchasing our products pretty soon there won’t be much of an industry left. This holds especially true for BBW products.

If you could offer some words of advice to those trying to break into the industry what would they be?

First make sure that this is something you really want to do, once your scene is out there it’s out there for good. Make sure you do your research on individuals/companies before working with them. Have a goal or plan in mind as to what you’re trying to accomplish/gain in the industry. Figure out what your boundaries are and stick to them until YOU are ready to do otherwise. People in the industry will constantly try to pressure you into shooting acts you necessarily may not be comfortable doing.

Everybody doesn’t automatically become “stars”maybe you will, maybe you won’t. The job is to have sex. NOT have sex to get the job don’t get tricked into “auditioning” for shoots. Try to take occasional breaks to get away and not burn yourself out. And that it’s an everyman for his self type of business.

 Interpret this question how you want, but what excites you? What makes you feel good inside?

New experiences, pushing boundaries, the dark sides of sexuality. Laughing, accomplishing goals, family/friends, great sex, and rocky road ice cream. J

What are your hobbies outside of work? How do you like to unwind? 

My new found hobby is pole dancing! I love pole dancing! To unwind I like to listen to music, dance, go out and do different activities. I like to play pool. (I’m not great at it, but I like it.) And I like reading.

Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? Still performing? Serving as a producer/director? Being an agent? Advocacy? Or outside of the industry?

 I can see 3 years still performing. 5 years or more? I take it as it goes I didn’t have a set time limit for when I’ll retire from performing. As long as fans like to watch me do nasty things and I enjoy doing them I’ll continue on until it’s my time to fade out. I produce and direct content for my site www.DaphneDaniels.com I couldn’t be an agent, too much drama to deal with. No advocacy, for same reasons of not being an agent.

How would you like to be remembered?  

As a nasty, classy, passionate, sexual beast on film. And that my light shined as a BBW of color in a genre that’s tough to stand out in.
